I have a question about when manufactures start building the next year models. I am looking at a camper to buy and the sticker on side of camper shows a build date of 5/2009 but the title says it is a 2010. Is this normal for manufactures to start the next year model in May? From looking at brochures it has the features of a 2009 because it does not have the radius entry door like the 2010's. I know this is silly but this is the kinda of stuff that keeps me awake a night!!

Yup, mine was built in May of 11 and is a 2012 rig.
There have been several "mid-year" changes in the 2012 rigs from this same builder, and fall run have different color cabinets, different external logos, different interior features then the units they made last spring.

When someone tells you to buy the same rig they own, listen, they might be right. When they tell you to buy a different rig then they own, really pay attention, they probably know something you don't.

Don't forget, the chassis may be a year or more older than the model year of the RV.

While common on MHs, this is not an issue with travel trailers (note the forum)

That's exactly the same time frame for when I purchased my 2007 model Rockwood, in May of 2006.

Keep in mind that some of the earliest models may just be re-badged last years models. Actual changes may not be made until later.

Our 2007 was built the last week of April 2007. It has many of the 2008 features because they ran out of the 2007 things. On May 1, 2007, Jayco began building the 2008 models.
