We will need to spend a significant time in a campground close to Alpharetta Georgia early next year (daughter having our first grandchild). I’ve looked at RV Park reviews and online; any recommendations for full hook-up campgrounds close?
Sorry...don't know of any campgrounds first hand...but we did the same thing last January. Stayed at a park in Augusta, GA that was halfway between our Son & DIL's house and the hospital. It was great. We're very happy Grandparents!!
Have been back to the same park last spring...and have it booked for our Granddaughter's 1st birthday next year.
All the best! Congratulations to you!!
You might go on Google Earth/google maps. Type in their address...zoom out just a little...then change the search to campground. You might find campsites that are close...and it will give you an idea of what is around, and how the campground is laid out.
Looks like it is going to have to be Twin Lakes. I have never stayed there (since I lived in Alpharetta), but have been by it many times and it gets good reviews. The COE campgrounds on Lake Lanier will be closed for the winter and Stone Mountain is just too far away traffic-wise. Enjoy your stay.
I have family in Alpharetta and Twin Lakes is the best location. Be aware there is no bathhouse or restroom. Most of the sites are full hookups except the ones near the water as they don't have sewer. There is a dump station close by.
