Just my opinion ,we have a combo unit and have never used it. The extra storage would be nice .

We have the stackable Splendide with the vented dryer. We use it all the time and wouldn't want to be without it. The last thing I would want to do is to use a laundromat. Once, we used a campground laundry and our new towels came out spotted from Clorox that was apparently left in the machine.

But, you should do what you want works well for you.

Welcome to the forum. We have a combo Splendide and we use it at least 5 times a week when we have full hook-ups. We do not use it when we are drycamping - typically will go to a laundromat to get caught up after drycamping. I would prefer to have a stackable set if we had the room but we don't. As mentioned, it works very well once you accept it is not the same as a full-size set in a sticks and bricks house. I wouldn't want to be without one.

We have a Splendide combo. It is vented. Works great. Small size tub though. Big things like a load of towels works better in a full size washer. Ever since I actually paid attention and put the soap and liquid fabric softner in the right places the clothes even come out fine.

We have a vented Spledide combo and use it regularly. It washes fine, but dries slowly, due, I expect, to limited heat from the 120V element. Small loads are required, but we have no problem with that. We are spoiled and would hate to live without it. I suppose a stacked pair would be nice, but it wouldn't work in our short floorplan.

I wonder why no one ever produced an LP fired combo unit for the RV industry???

We also have the Spledide combo and love it. We use it all the time and have not been disappointed. Definately do it again. If I were full timing I would have the stackable, but otherwise our combo is just fine.

I use mine all the time for small items. Won't work well for thick towels or sheets. Allows us to stretch how long between trips to the laundromat. Have the combo. If I had room I would switch to the stack separate washer and dryer. Clothes don't wrinkle as much in them.

I love ours. Use it all the time. I even wash and dry towels and sheets. Takes a long time, but that ok with me. I would love a stacking unit, but until I get a new motorhome where there is room for it, I'll do just fine with my little Splendide.

We have the Splendide combo and wouldn't be without it. I do agree with those that say get separate units if you have the room. But if you don't, the vented combo still works well.

I don't think anyone made this comment, but if you buy the combo unit be sure it is installed correctly.

You do need access to the clean out trap in the front, and the vent hose should be as short as possible with few or no turns and not run uphill any further than necessary. The dryer blower in a combo unit does not have that much force so it won't blow that wet lint very far. If the path to the outside is too long the unit itself will plug up with lint and it is a PITA to clean out because the accesss is in the back.

Love ours, usually hang clothes out on rack on back of rig, Underwear in the shower. Depending where we are, use the dryer. I would rather do a load a day than sit in a laundromat. You can wash a blanket in it but don't dry it there, it will dry with wrinkles. Ask me how I know.
