I know this has been discussed a lot in previous threads, however I would be interested in your thoughts. Has anyone found a soft toilet paper acceptable for RV holding tanks?

We use what we use in the house. Softer and cheaper than the RV stuff. And get it anywhere we shop. With our black tank flusher and Sewer Solutions gadget, it pumps right through the system with no problems.

We use the same as we use at home, as long as it is septic tank safe. We have been doing this for years and never had a problem as long as you use lots of water.

The tried and true test for TP used for years is to take a sheet of your favorite paper in a jar of water. If it starts breaking down in 30 seconds or less it's acceptable for your black tank.
A funny FYI: Scott came out with a brand specifically designed for RV's. Cost about 4 time any brand in a store and what makes it funny is it failed the test.

We use the same Charmin Ultra in the RV that we use at home. In years of RV'ing, we've never had a problem with it. Just make sure you use an adequate amount of flush water, regardless of the paper brand. The so called "RV toilet paper" is a rip-off.

I use toilet paper that I don't stick my finger through...I don't care if it is "RV" toilet paper or not.

Most "RV" toilet paper is so thin that you could read the fine print on an extended warranty contract through it.

RV Specific Toilet Paper

But, as others have said, as long as you have a good macerator and flushing system I don't see why it matters.
