Ok I'm in the market for a 5th wheel toy hauler. Found one that's 6 hours away that I'm very interested in when my truck comes in. What I need to know is the weight of the thing. It sounds like an older couple and they can't find it anywhere on the rv. It's a 2002 New Vision by Sportmen (KZ production). I believe it's model m-35-power. It's 36' triple axle with bedroom and living room slides.
My question, does anyone have this model if so what's the loaded and unloaded weight?
If no one has that model, what's your weight if you are similarly equiped (36' triple axle, 2 slide)(I know it's going to vary a lot but just go with it lol)

Probably upper limits of a 250/2500. Easily hauled by 350/3500.

Hey jet, I saw that one but its not a toy hauler. I figured weights will vary quite a bit.

If you are looking at towing with less than a high capacity* SRW 1-ton truck, you need to take a very close look at the LOADED pin weight of the fiver vs the truck payload remaining after deducting the weight of occupants, hitch, fuel and other stuff.
A 13,500# GVWR fiver will typically have a 2700# pin weight and is probably beyond the capacity of most 3/4 tons, some of which may have a TOTAL payload as low as 2100#.
* A post 2005 Ford/2010 or later GM would fit this category.

I ordered a 3500 chevy crew short bed SRW. 6.0 gasser with 4.10. Pinweight no issue. Just want to make sure gasser will pull okay.

I tow a 34' Fuzion 302 with a F250 with a V10 gasser. The hauler is at the limits of the 3/4 ton in my opinion. The biggest thing you need to watch out for is the weight on the rear tires. The gasser should handle it OK. I tow in mountains and wind and always get there, just not quite as fast as I would with a smoker.

OK, your MAX tow rating is between 13,700# (4WD) and 14,000# (2WD). Those numbers only apply to a truck with a 150# driver aboard. They will be reduced depending on how many more people and/or "stuff" you have in the truck.
If you load that trailer up to GVWR you could actually be a little over your Max trailer rating. Your truck will be working hard in the mountains, otherwise I don't see a problem.
