If you live in an area that doesn't have hard winters Geocaching can help with cabin fever.
I checked on Geocache.com maps and with in 200 miles from home at places we camp their are well over 200 cache hides.
My wife retires this year and we will be camping more and we will have many things to do while camping ,Geocaching, metal detecting, hiking, biking and site seeing and all close to home.
People that work and have kids in school can enhance their camping trips, so if you don't Geocache check into it, it's fun.

We have been caching since 2002. Love it. Our Sundance 5th wheel has a travel bug decal. Hope someday some of you will see us and log our Sundance. (L&J hotwheels)

We just ordered a Travel Bug decal for our TT. Hopefully we will get some hits on it on our way to Alaska this summer.

We also enjoy geocaching very much. As already stated it gets you to visit places that you would never know about. We recently found a cache at "The Smallest Church in America". Not sure if it is, but it was small.

The definition of geocaching that I like to give out was on a T-Shirt that our kids did not buy for us. It said that "I use million dollar satellites to find Tupperware in the woods".

What exactly does Geocaching involve? I've seen it mentioned many times, and I have C.geo on my phone, but I've never used it and not entirely certain what it entails.

For a very good explanation watch the intro video at geocaching.com.

Geocaching has taken us to out of the way places we would never have gone to. Like this place in the middle of nowhere Kansas

I don't geocache, but if I did that's the type I would be most interested in.

Imagine having a go-anywhere RV and having to boondock camp in the middle of nowhere somewhere in Southern Utah, then on foot crawl around the desert rocks with a GPS unit to find a geocache hidden in a crevice. What fun!

(I guess one would have to watch out for snakes, though.)

My family loves this activity! We often times make it a day trip activity to surrounding areas just for fun. In fact, it is part of our summer RV plans for this year! We use our Iphones with app to find our cache, and have recently introduced a few friends to the activity. Beware of the muggles!
