I like what Chuck told you about the wasps, just don't hit that cover very hard. they have a nasty habit to be or get brittle so they will break into a thousand pieces if hit very hard.
While up there, check the fan for mud daubers. If you get a large one on the fan you might damage the fan from the unequal weight/vibration. It happened to me (vibration, not damage) last year, even though I cover the A/C shroud each season. Now I will check the fan each spring.
All good feedback, thanks. I figured as much, but didn't want to walk on my roof JUST to find out if it was easily removable. It MAY be sealed better than I think. I might just leave it alone until the next time I'm up there to clean my roof.
