With the few guest at a lot of the parks , and there need to watch there overhead $$$

1) Should the park supply the Internet service..

2) Should the guest pay for there own internet. ( very easy now with 3 g sticks.)

3). would you be willing to pay a extra charge to access and Maintain a
Internet service at a park..

Internet service is now on about the same par as electrical.
The park builds the cost of electrical into the site rate and they could do the same for internet.
The probelm they have is band width and cost. As there is only so much space for internet it can make it a problem for them as people like to leave their computers on for long period of time or play games and games require a huge amount of space.
That is why must parks are contracting out WiFi to third parties and we all have to pay.

I prefer the parks that charge extra if you use theirs. I also have the Verizon hot spot and prefer it since it is secured.

Folks, Clarlk asked this question in the Mexico forum and I doubt he wanted to know about Verizon service. He must be asking about Parks in Mexico.

1. Internet service should be supplied by the Park.

2. Not everyone is travelling for many months and many would sooner not go to the extra expense.

3. No I would not be interested in paying more for the service. I do not know what the parks are paying for the ISP service but it is very inexpensive. Maybe $100 to $200 a month. Very few have much bandwidth and I would not be surprised if some parks pay as little as $50.00 a month. Maintenance is almost ZERO. The install is a one time charge and how many parks in Mexico have a professional system installed properly? .

We have a USB, functional but not very reliable. We also prefer boondocking. However, if we elect to stay in a park or hotel/park, it has to have wi-fi. If not, no go.
