If I had a question about Escapees, I do think I would go ask them , instead of other opinions.

Texas does require an annual inspection...

Just wondering, how extensive is that annual inspection? Is it do the turn signals and horn work? or is it how thick are the brake pads, how old are the brake lines, etc...

The Texas vehicle inspection takes about 15 min. or less. They check horn, lights window glass, tire tread, and wipers. That is about it. The cost is $14.50 and I believe that the station gets a bit more than half of it, so they can't really put in a lot of time.

Thanks Kirk, thinking I might swap rigs this season and the consignment lot wants the Texas vehicle inspection done prior.

You don't say what insurance you're talking about. I know when we looked into SD we were told by three different independent health insurance agents (not affiliated with a mail forwarding service) that we needed to include proof of a physical adress, like a utility bill, with an application for health insurance.

That was a deal breaker for us, regardless of cost. We're Escapees as a result.
