What do you use on the ground, when taking a shower outside? I was thinking (dangerous!)that if I could find a light weight plastic pallet of some sort to let the water drain through, yet keep the feet out of the mud would be ideal. Just haven't found anything.

I use a $4 mortar tub from Home Depot.

Seems to be plenty of uses for a sturdy tray like that when not needed for the shower. Ours goes on the roof rack sometimes if inside is not convenient.

All we ever used was a piece of indoor outdoor carpet to stand on.

I built one similar to the "Walmart" one out of cedar. Reasonably lightweight and high enough off the ground that you don't have to worry about pine needles and small rocks ;-)

I use something similar to this, except my 18"x36" segment was $14. It's made of redwood and rolls up for storage. Couldn't be happier with it or the price!

The mortar tub is a good idea; multiple uses and no water/mud around the rig.
