Close very to getting a new F350 DRW 4x2 Diesel to replace my 06 F250 diesel. Was wondering what to expect in mileage. Understand everyones driving habits are different and trailer weights are higher or lowere than mine (15000). After having my rig weighed at Escapees I realized how much I was over the capabilities of the f250. Brochure says I can pull a 5er up to 16000+ pounds but I was already overwight on rear axle, GCWR, tire max weight. Had a few scary incidents that I don't want to experience again. Travel safe

Good choice on trucks...
Two thoughts...First you are going to pull a heavy RV...you picked a great truck AND second, forget about fuel mileage.

A gorilla truck pulling a huge RV and fuel mileage are not in the same conversation in any conditions...expect 9-12 towing.

8-10 is what you should expect. Anything above that is gravy.

You really opened a can of worms now.
The way its explained to me on this site is your only getting some bigger springs and 2 extra tires to replace.

Congrats on the new truck.

I have the truck and 5er in signature, the 5er dry wieght is approximately 15000, on a 3000 mile trip, 90% pulling the 5er I averaged (hand figured)11.8 miles per gallon... T-10

My 2wd drw cc gets 16.5 mpg (empty) around town. 19.7 mpg highway (empty) and driving 65mph. 11.7 mpg towing 10k lbs at 65 mph. Once you get close to 70 mph the mpg's start to suffer. I would consider my driving style as conservative.

my 2011 350 crew cab dually 4x4 weighs in at 8800lbs ready to travel. Empty around the Seattle area with all of our hills I get 18-20 mpg on the freeway at 70. I know, slower I'd do better, but just cant seem to do it.

On the other hand, towing a high 40ft 5th wheel weighing in at 15,000lbs I get 11 to 12 here on the west coast. Haven't tried flat areas......yet. I have 3400lbs on the pin.

I'm with you, we had a 2010 250 first, and it towed it fine, but we were over every limit and the srw would have been barely ok for rawr, but nothing else, forcing us into the dually, but it is so NICE!

Enjoy your new truck.
