Can anyone give us some ideas about campgrounds/RV parks in this area. We would prefer to be on the lake and want power for the AC.

Where do you want to start? There are some beautiful spots around Anglemont, Blind Bay/Sorrento (our favorite area) and Salmon Arm. Google shuswap lake campgrounds and start dreaming.

Our favorite CC in the area is Harold provincial park, on the lake, and nice and clean, I don't think there is any power, but if you get a site in the shade you don't need airco.http://www.env.gov.bc.ca/bcparks/explore/parkpgs/herald/

Adam's Lake isn't that far from the Shuswap, and is an awesome camping spot. It's a Provincial Park and very beautiful. I'd bet you'd enjoy it.

We really like Harold PP as well. No hookups in BC provincial parks however but it does have showers, flush toilets and a dump site.
