Hello, I've been lurking on this sight for quite a while but finally signed up after making our purchase over Thanksgiving weekend. We bought a 05 Keystone Hornet 27bh. Thankfully my parents were in town over the holiday and they have plenty of RV experience so after a 3 day crash course in between turkey and football I think I have a good base of knowledge. The only fault I've found is the power outlet by the kitchen sink is not working. I'll do some trouble shooting later, if anyone has any quick fix ideas let me know. Looking forward to getting out there with the family this year. Love all the info on the site, it is very addictive!

Yeah, The one in the bathroom is the only one I see, but I might go check again later to be 100% sure about the number of GFI's. The bathroom GFI works fine, and when reset the kitchen outlet is still DOA

Yes, as others have mentioned, check the GFI outlet. It could be anywhere in the RV. Ours is located in the bedroom and then feeds to the bathroom and kitchen.

Well, got the little one to bed and went back out there to look around. I didn't find another GFI outlet anywhere, so I decided to check fuses. The 15 amp fuse marked "kitchen" was pulled and inspected, no problems. I thought about pulling the ones next to it in hopes they were labeled wrong but decided to quit then as the breaker/fuse panel looked brand new and not screwed with. Anyway, as I was leaving I decided to plug in the heater we have been using during the cleaning process and it fired right up! I don't know if this is good or bad news because I don't know if this will be an on again off again problem. The problem is fixed for now so I suppose that is a good thing. Thanks for the ideas...I'm sure more questions to come.

The outlet by the kitchen sink has got to be GFI by code, assuming it was done by the manufacturer, so it's either being controlled by another GFI outlet or it's a bad outlet... Does it have the "test" button on it or is it just a plain outlet??? If it's plain, it's being controlled by another GFI outlet somewhere in the trailer...
Let us know what you find, and a big welcome to the RV.Net Forums...

Correct, I should have mentioned that. The GFI in the bathroom still controls the kitchen outlet. However, when the bathroom GFI was reset after a test, the kitchen still wouldn't work. For whatever reason removing the fuse seemed to fix the problem. The trailer was purchased as a insurance total (salvage title) from hail damage that happened in May. I'm thinking maybe just sitting around a while some kind of electrode film might have formed on that fuse and moving it around a bit rubbed it off. On the fuse panel this fuse was the first (highest) fuse on the totem pole so maybe that made it more suseptable to debris falling on it. I'll just chalk it up to good luck I guess.
