I had my Dmax remapped. It is incredible, I can with my RV or heavy equipment trailer break the duals loose from a stop light at will. I dont know what hp its making but that truck will move a load probably much like yours. I would say just watch your temps, getting an Edge CTS type monitoring system is a good idea when your pulling this heavy. When I am going over mnt passes the truck feels like its not laboring but the temps do rise so just keep an eye on them. You would not notice by the way the truck feels so its a little misleading. Just a heads up.

Paul I had the 08 heavy 2500 and purchased an 06 Raptor, picked it up in Tenn. 1st good hill I had it foored and was doing 15MPH by the time I got to the top of the hill, and I had just purchased this truck and was told no problem pulling the trl. BS, made it as far as Joplin Mo and picked up a D3500 dually never looked back. Just stating what happened to me.
Good luck
Must have been a gasser, cause the diesel in the 2500 and the 3500 dually are the same.
Mav
Agreed. The power output is the same, on the diesels. If you gained that much going to a dually, either the first one was shot, or you went from a gas to a diesel. In fact, the dually should go up the hill slightly slower, if same rear end, because it weighs more than the first pickup.
