Quick question, RobertRyan, does Australia have restriction on size (height, width and length)?

Width. The others can be really anything. US 5Vers imported into Australia have exceeded the width level. There are some popular US 5vers that come within that restriction as well. Major problems with imported US 5vers has been : suspensions, compliance(width, door on proper side), build quality(Low cost manufacturers)and hitches.

It's all about tipping.
Australians don't tip so they are able to keep more of their money than Americans do.

RobertRyan,

Run down areas here in the U.S. are generally found in the inner cities or where strong union imbalance have caused employers to close or move offshore etc thus hurting the middle class there. A business must make a profit or it WILL close! That means it's a must to be competitive at the same time. Come on back and let my wife and I show you the real highs and lows of various areas of the USA and where they are and you can meet and talk/ask any questions you may have personally addressed to a cross section you select of USA citizens. Most of our country is in decent economical shape except for many of the large cities inner cores. Bad news always makes the front page but good news is buried by our media and has been for many years. Shock and bad news sells and makes money for papers and TV news programs and that's why it's being pushed. We've camped with several visiting Aussies here and in Florida and we have compared living and economic facts of both countries so many times. Our whole local area/region of approx 1.4 million population is very upbeat and doing well economically but all you hear about is the few small pockets that aren't. Infrastructure here is not decayed at all and new building is strong. The overpriced areas of the USA are finally being forced to get back in the mainstream economy or fail and that's a very good thing for the future.

I get a kick outta the whole american mentality, you're talking about life overseas, look right across the border to canada to see a marked difference in lifestyle-wages and costs to buy goods. Fuel is a good example.

I have been around the US and driven around three Islands of Hawaii. I have talked too a lot of people, the US does have a lot of problems. That is NOT the purpose of my post, it is was to show the various climates of Australia and unique 5th Wheelers.

I have seen and inspected some pretty awful ones from the US. What in the Travelhome? They have beds in the middle of 5ver? They are a custom builder and build what the customer wants. Nothing stopping people buying a imported US 5ver.
Desert PhotosMore like the stereotypical Australian countryside..
