I saw a contractor in the new Nissan full size van today. The straight side walls look to be ideal for a class B camper.

Over the years I've learned that I get over the ugly early impressions of vehicles. From the side, it looks like it wouldn't have as much length behind the seats as a Big 3 van?

It has a lot of good points, the big drawback as stated is the short living space. The lack of a van type engine/driver compartment means that about 3 feet of living space is lost. Too bad, it would be nice to have some more competition in the B field.

Same engine as in our Pathfinder. Nissan recommends premium gas, we run mid-grade in ours. I think 16 hwy will be closer to the actual mpg. Great engine though, with loads of torque, and with the engine up front should be nice and quiet.

Sportsmobile is already using these for conversion. Check their website for sample floor plans.. pretty cool

I've been keeping an eye on the SMB website as well. The floorplans interest me but the link above is the first actual photos I've seen. Can't wait to see what SMB brings out. The exterior reminds me of the 80s era custom Suburbans with raised roofs and Captain's chairs throughout.

On the specs page on the nissancommercial site, it says regular gas. They probably detuned it a little for the commercial market.
