Hi everyone

First off, thanks for any help you might give. Just back from our 2nd trip with our Sundancer and have 2 questions. In the holding tank compartment I have a switch that is unlabeled so i have no idea what it does. It has a green light to indicate 'ON' but no labels. Any idea what it's for?

Next. we get a small water discharge from the Hot water tank through the pressure relief valve. Especially after we first turn it on. Is this normal?

I appreciatte any info you might have.

thanks again

Dave

The switch may be for the water pump. I don't get any leakage on the water heater.

I wondered aboout that also. We have a pump switch inside on the control panel too but when i switched this one on, the pump didn't run to bring up any pressure even though I had all water disconnected.
Any chance it's a tank or compartment heater of some sort?

Sounds like I might need to get the pressure valve checked out then.

I'm on my second winnebago if you have a outside shower than it is a switch for the pump. If it is just a few drips from the pressure relief valve that is normal acording to my manual for the water heater.

I would think the switch is for the tank heater? You can test the pump easily enough by shutting it off with the other switches.

Re the relief valve, it should not leak at all. Scale can build up on the seat and it may fail, stuck closed if it dribbles a lot. Just drain it completely and refill, which will restore the air pocket in the top and allow for expansion. After, just leave it alone and it should be ok but you can pop it once a year just to test it. The air pocket is above the relief valve so you won't lose the charge. You can search these forums for leaking relief valve and get hundreds of answers, most will be wrong.

I'll bet your pump has a 3 way switch, that one and the one on the panel inside. Turn one on so the green light is on, then go switch the other and I'll bet the light goes out. The green light indicates that there is power to the pump pressure switch.
