If you happen to be traveling through north Florida and have a couple extra days in your schedule, you might consider staying a night or two in Stephen Foster State Park in White Springs, FL.

The park is decorated with 4 million lights. Large live oaks are done in solid colors of red, blue and white. The tall pines are done like candy canes. The bell tower and the gingerbread village are also adorned with lights. It's truly spectacular. The park will be lit every night from now until Jan 1.

Last night was there was a parade to kick off the Festival of Lights. We had a hoot of a time. The park served free hot dogs, cookies and a soft drinks. In the gingerbread village there was a big campfire complete with marshmallow roasting.

Every night there will be a horse drawn hay ride through the park.

What a great place to ring in the holiday season.

We will be in the park until Dec 7. Hope to see some of you there.
