I've mounted numerous flatscreen tv's, at home and in the camper. If you're looking for the best place to buy your mounts and cables, I get everything at monoprice.com. They have a big selection of mounts to choose from and I haven't been able to find cables / wallplates any cheaper than there.

You might want to give the manufacturer's customer service dept a call. My new trailer built by KZ had 2 stickers on the wall that said TV mount here. I gave them a call and was told they had a piece of plywood inside the wall to hold the mount. It was fastened to the studs but hidden by the paneling. One was in the living room and one in the bedroom.

I through bolted mine through the wall that is the backside of the linen closet in the bathroom. Put a 2x6 inside of the linen closet as a backer.

Finally remembered the camera when I went to the TT today. Here are three shots of the install of our 22" LED/LCD TV. I used 3/4" plywood for the backing plate on the inside of the closet. Toughest part was tightening the bolts from the bracket to the TV working between the wall and the back of the TV. Two inches doesn't allow much room for turning wrenches. I moved the TV down to eye level, much more comfortable viewing, and used the shelf above to house the Bose Wave Radio and DVD player. By running the audio output of the TV/DVD through the Bose you get unbelievable acoustical quality. Still tight and secure after 6K miles.

I hung my 32". Not sure on the weight. I took a board and routed the edges and painted it white. I fastened it to the studs in the wall. I then mounted my TV mount to it. The mount has six screws, 4 of them I was able to get through the board and into the studs. I wish I had a few more pictures, but this is all I have. The board is not centered on the TV becouse this is a full motion mount, so I can swing it around to watch TV from the couch, or swing it the other way so I can watch TV from outside through the door.

I like the support under the arm which limits cantilever effect.

I added a piece of wood on the inside of the cabinet (scab) to add more support.

another type of mount for cabinetry. I have used this mount for over a year without problems.

MorRyde TV Base Mount - Slide-Out/Swivel w/ 7" Extension

It will be fine for a larger set...I believe my set is a 32" LCD and it holds it secure when locked for traveling.
