Does anyone know if the Haier washer/dryer combos have any problems
that a person needs to know about. This one has been used very little
and is in a lake house. I do know it is ventless and is 1.8 cap. Our Georgieboy is plumbed but don't know if giving up the space is worth it
if this brand has any problems. The price is right if the units are any good.. Thanks Harry

Don't expect to wash/dry anything heavy like jeans/rugs, etc. In your stick home the dryer is 220 or gas..in an Rv it's 110 so the heating element is like using a hair dryer to dry clothes...takes longer. Works ok for socks, light shirts but small loads. If you need the space, go to a laundromat and only spend a few quarters..washes faster and drys quicker

The washer/dryer combo in an RV, IMHO, are worthless. They are so small, and take so long to do anything. The two most worthless items they put in coaches are dishwashers and washer/dryer combos... I have had them both and have taken them both out, just to have the space for other things.

You want a vented unit. The vent less were know for problems with drying and lint build up inside.

We have a vented Splendide Washer/Dryer in our rig. I have washed levi's with no problem. The loads are very small though, but it beats going to a laundry mat. Just do a load every day. The washer/dryer doubles as a hamper too. We wouldn't be without one. Love it.
My advice is worth what you paid for it!

I am not familiar with that particular brand but I would not wanted a ventless style because of the potential for buildup of moisture inside the RV. I do love having our Splendide Vented 2100 XC combo unit. Wouldn't want to be without it.

I have no personal experience with the "Haier"....however the reviews I gleaned over on the web are very mixed. I would recommend you look for a "Splendide" or "LG".
There appears to always be a good deal of negative attitude towards ventless combos. I guess I'm one of them exceptions....I have had hands on experience with both Splendide and LG ventless models. The splendide I had was an older model....I believe a 6000 series model, and the lent had to be cleaned from the condensor unit ever so often....like 6 to 12 months. When the condensor was clean and everything else was in good condition, it did a satisfactory job of washing and drying.
A couple of years back the transmission on my Splendide broke and I decided to shop for a new combo. After considerable research, I decided on a "LG combo" which is another "ventless" model. As far as I'm concerned this is the cadillac of the combo units.
We full time and use it all the time....it is a very quiet, smooth running machine....washes and dries exceptionally well.....no wrinkles.
Bottom line....you'll have to decide which unit is best for you. If you plan on using this unit alot...you may want to bite the bullet and purchase a more popular brand. If you are just part timing, try out the "Haier".

Sure you do.I doubt a 2003 Winnebago Adventurer 38G ever had a dish washer or a washer dryer to begin with.I have owned a slendid washer/dryer and they work fine.Mind u it was vented.I currently have a dish washer and a splendid XC washer/dryer vented.I can do King sheets with the XC model. The dish washer works fantastic, the washer dryer works fantastic and yes the dryer part for jeans is suspect though. But all in all a great pair to have in the M/H and good for resale
