Then stay off I-90! You get high tolls AND terrible roads!

I think of I-95 through SC. The SC portion was in much worse shape than the bordering states. I blame my blowout on the poor condition of the road. If SC cannot afford to maintain their strectch of I-95, maybe they should consider a toll?
My blowout cost way more than a $5 toll.

For us to get thru Oklahoma, pulling the trailer, it's 30.00. But fuel is a bit cheaper on the toll road than in the towns. Its a good road, and I'm not going out of my way to avoid it. Still has nice scenery to view.
Back home in Ontario Canada, we ride the 407 toll road all the time. No line ups, less truck traffic and good road, expensive =yes! but well worth the shorter time and money. No toll booths, they photo your lic plate as you get on and off, the bill comes about a month later in the mail..

I drove through SC this past June...the highway wasn't bad at all. It was better than anything I have seen in this area!
