Nope -- no joy. When I follow the instructions as closely as I can, it only results in turning off the RSS for one start cycle. Next start it reverts to ON.
The 2011 instructions say to press RESET. I have nothing marked RESET, not a button, and not a screen choice. Maybe I'll throw an email at Ford Motor Co and see if it lands on an appropriate desk.

pages 29, REAR PARK AID (if equipped)
This feature sounds a warning tone to warn the driver of obstacles near the rear bumper, and functions only when R (Reverse) gear is selected.
Press RESET to turn this feature on or off. You can also choose to turn this feature on/off when the vehicle is placed in reverse.
This sounds like you can turn on/off but also disable?
page 33, CHECK PARK AID (if equipped) — Displayed when the transmission is in R (Reverse) and the reverse sensing system (park aid) is disabled.
This sounds like it confirms?
page 45, settings-park aid is where you turn on/off -doesnt show option to disable? as described page 29
page 59 same as 33
Im seeing only one option in menu- it appears this will turn off but then you get a check message. I don't know if this is the temp turn off or disable setting, is there another place that you temp turn off.? -no pic of 'reset' button, the OK button on navigation screen? doenst mention that it will reset with key.
COntacting Ford if all else fails. Ive seen where the speaker is defeated with an LED, so speaker doesnt activate but load prevents check message comeing on. Dont know what happens if you simply unplug rear sensor.
What a puzzle-Sounds like a Microsoft system-'you can do what ever you want if we allow it'

The reset button might be the OK button, as that functions as a reset in other operations.

Tried that. Only a trip shutdown. I'm at the point of looking for the buzzer with a wire-cutter in hand. But with my luck it will probably throw a code and put me in limp mode. /Jk/

That's how I would read it. Maybe you could in 2011 models, but changed it for 2012? As I said...I find no "RESET" to Press.
Ford corp says check with the dealer. Dealer says "gosh...dunno".

Maybe look for a fuse to pull? Or start pulling fuses until it doesn't work anymore. Likely a fuse labeled as "component" or something non-descript.
The question is...what else would be affected?
If me...I would start the truck. Back it up close to a big tree. Put it in Reverse. Press Parking brake. Let it beep it's little heart out, and start pulling fuses, until it stops. When it stops, see what else it is that doesn't work.
Do this before you go looking for the "honker" with wire clippers.

Good concept, but I don't think it's likely to bear fruit. This rig has thousands of features and dozens of fuses. Not very probable that one fuse carries just the reverse sensing system. But I can at least look at the fuse list.

Im traveling and posting on my phone so you'll get a shorter than normal reply.
Using your steering wheel buttons go into the vehicle setup and enable MyKey. Then using the key you have in the dash disable the backup proximity sensor, its in the setup menu. Now everytime you drive the truck with the camper use that key and you will not get the annoying backup beep.
When you drive without the camper use your other key and the parking proximity sensors will work and help you park that huge truck.
That's what I did with my 2011 F350. If you can't figure it out with those clues post back and ill try to get more detailed.

Is the back up alarm for you the driver or a safety alarm for others that may be behind your vehicle?
I kind-of thought that the reason for the audible back up alarm was to alert others and keep you from running into them as you back up...
especially so that the person behind you will know that you are backing up and avoid being injured by your vehicle as it backs up.
With your field of vision impaired by the massive camper I would think that the back-up alarm would be welcomed
What will your insurance company do if you hit someone and the alarm or other safety feature is disabled?
I might be misunderstanding your question or your intent... I probibly wouldn't make a friendly jurer at this point... tell me more please.
(thank goodness I don't back up enough to be anoyed)
