We have a Executive 7000 am/fm/weatherband radio. The radio is great and we would like to keep it. But the CD player just comes up with a ERR message.
I can't seem to find a 12 volt CD player that I could plug into the radio. It has input jacks in the back.
Any ideas

If you have any MP3 player or device, you can plug that in. You can transfer all your CD music to the MP3 and more than likely have lots of space left for more.
If you don't have one, there are many inexpensive ones available. CD's are on there way out, just like cassettes and VHS.

Get a cord that plugs into the headphone jack on the CD player and has male RCA on the other end to plug into the back of the build in sound system.

There are lots of Walkman type players. But I haven't found one that will plug into the existing radio so we can use the built in sound system.
What Charles said..
Go to Radio Shack and buy a Stereo Mini Plug to RCA(M), and it'll work fine.

Thanks Harley Dude.
I suspect it might play CD's but it doesn't say it does so I'm not sure. Thanks anyway.

Open up the Executive 7000 CD player and clean the laser pick-up. Easy to do with a q-tip, good chance that'll fix it.

Thank you all!
I'll go and see if I can buy a stereo to RCA adapter and take it from there.
