The ground at our family site is rolling and unlevel..This is what I envision...The portable tote is in the back of the truck..About 18 feet away the black water dump valve of our trailer.....Is there a way to couple the Trailer dump valve to this tote with this distance that would pump it out?? I'm trying to come up with a way to not have to lift it up into the truck when it is full in our CG..
thnks, wolfie

Much easier to take the portable black tank attached to your trailer to the dump. I'm not that thrilled about handling sewage even ONCE let alone multiple times.

You bet, it's called a macerator. Use this a lot when dry camping in an area with a dump.

Don't they make portable tanks that have wheels? You just hook them up to your hitch ball and drive the truck over to the dump station.

Hi Skip,
Thats what I'm after, an easier way to fill and transport my black tank...Our land is not level..the trailer sets on a man made pad of 2x6's and dirt we made...The pad is just big enough for the trailer..as is the black water TT tank is on the off side of the pad resulting in dumping to a portable tank that is setting at a angle...Then you have to pull the tote thru dirt and/or sand and lift it up into the truck...I'm old, fat, and arthritic, can't bend over so good any more...just trying to come up with an easier way..thnks, wolfie

FuzzyBob, my post deals with getting the waste from my trailers dump valve to the portable tank...NOT GETTING IT TO THE DUMP STATION...
but thanks for your informative post...your the best...

Skip is being funny. He means drag your trailer to the dump.

It is a bit of a bite, but I LOOOOOVE my mascerator pump.

I live on a couple of acres and the D-Box for my drainfield is about 60 feet away from where I park my camper.

My old HTT which went for about 3,500#, I would pull around with my little Kubota without a problem. I'd trolley it over to the D-Box and 'direct dump' during my flushes, no problem.

My new trailer, closer to 6,000# makes me think a bit more. Just more to go wrong. I started hooking my mascerator pump up to a 3/4" garden hose and get the waste into the drainfield that way. Works like a DREAM. Just put a 6" clear fitting in there and you can see when you get it really clean inside. No more trolley for me! (but I keep it around, just in case.)
