We are checking out place to settle in for the Winter in future years. We are presently at Voyagers RV Resort in Tucson, AZ http://voyagerrv.com/rv_park.html for a month and are interested in checking out two other parks for about a month each.
Gold Canyon Golf & RV Resort near Apache Jct, AZ
http://robertsresorts.com/gold_canyon_az/active_community/gold_canyon_community.html and
Palm Creek Golf & RV Resort in Casa Grande, AZ https://www.palmcreekgolf.com/propertymap.html
Has anyone stayed at Gold Canyon or Palm Creek? We would appreciate hearing about the pros and cons in your opinion of each resort.
Thank you,

Here's an answer to a question you didn't ask: While here in Tucson make sure you check out Desert Trails (where we winter) and Justin's Diamond J next door. My only reason for suggesting this is in case you wan't to see some Tucson parks with a very different flavor than the huge Voyagers.
Can't say about the two you are asking about. We always stay at the Escapees park in Casa Grande.

Thanks for the reply Earl. We stayed at Justin's Diamond J for a month two years ago and believe that was next to the park you are at, so we have seen the things on the West side.
This year we decided to try out the big resort parks because we want to see what we think of a bigger park with all kinds of organized activities and being a litlle closer to the shopping for my wife.
They both seem to have their advantages and disadvantages.
Thanks again,

We have stayed in Palm Creek for four seasons and are planning on going there in Jan for 3 months. It is a 5 star RV park with every activity you can think of.
Last year we couldn't hook up to the internet but this year my friends that are already there tell me there is a new hookup for a charge.
I'm sure that you have already checked out their site on the net.

We have wintered in Palm Creek since 2002. You are close enough to drive north and see all of the rv parks you asked about in one day.

Chevy Man,
You must like it there. Could you tell me a little about what have been the big pluses for you. We have had some concerns about the winds in that area. What are your experiences with those.
I appreciate your reply. We are eventually going to be headed that way so we did not want to make a special trip and we have visited Gold Canyon, but you don't get a feel for a place unless one actually spends some time there.

We are in our second winter here at Palm Creek. Love it. Drive up ,take a tour of the facilities then drive around the park to find a site you like. There are a pet & non-pet areas.

Gold Canyon is in a much prettier area than Casa Grande. Casa Grande area has gotten some bad dust storms with fatalities on I-10. Gold Canyon will be a little further drive for major stores which will be found in Apache Jct. and Mesa but grocery is close. If you're interested in outdoor-types of things - hiking, siteseeing, you'll find it much better from Gold Canyon. We haven't stayed at either but the areas are quite different. Guess it all depends on what kinds of activities you like. If you just want activities within the parks themselves, either would be comparable.

Just went to dinner with a couple staying in Palm Creek. She said she was worn out, they have so many activities she can't keep up. It is her choice, as she has found so many interesting things to do, unlike where she stayed last year without anything to do. She is loving her time here in Casa Grande. The wind storms are normally in the summer months.

Thanks for the info. We wound up in Pueblo El Mirage near Surprise as Gold Canyon was full.
I broke 4 ribs last Wed and the Dr. says I won't be driving anywhere for at least 6 weeks. Sounds like ribs are a slow heal. At least the desert plants are starting to bloom, but it is getting hot.
