I'm sure most of you don't remember but, we had a tire blow out on a trip from Nashville to Mammoth Cave, KY late in the summer. Luckily, there were no other issues (not even close to loosing control, no one else impacted, etc) - just the pain in the butt of changing a tire and of cource the damage below. The tires were the standard Goodyears that came on the trailer from Jayco, 3 years old with good tread life, no visible damage, and were all within 1 PSI of the reccomended pressure before we left. I am guessing I hit something that caused pressure loss during the drive (about an hour and a half into the trip).
Anyway, since the damage was just cosmetic, and I started a new job and moved moved shortly after the trip, I just got around to having it fixed now. I dropped the trailer off on Monday, and should be getting the quote back any day now. I thought we could all play a "closest to the pin" game and see what this'll run.
Here are the pictures:

And a few of the tire, just for fun:

Also, note there is some bending on the rear (bathroom) door frame
If it matters to anyones suggestion - the unit is a 2009 32 BHDS.
I guess I am expecting about $2.5k, but really have know idea as this is the first damage I have had to any of my campers.
Anyone else want to play?

I feel your pain. I had a set of those garbage Goodyear Marathon tires on my trailer. One blew one summer and I was able to get stopped without any undercarriage damage. Soon after that I had a second tire blow only this time it was at about 50 mph and by the time I got stopped the thread had torn up my underside. When I got home from that trip, I did a google search of Goodyear Marathon tires and much to my dismay, I found a blog with hundreds of horror stories about these tires blowing out as well as separating. Needless to say ALL 5 of my tires were replaced. Even the tire dealer had tales to tell me about the tires. If you haven't already you may want to replace all of the tires. I am an inflation freak and my tires were where they needed to be. Goodyear must be giving these tires away to the RV manufacturers to get rid of them. Good luck..

arm, leg, and first born. my friend had a blowout on our last trip and we went to get a new fender flair. Well he has a 04 fleetwood prowler AX6 we found out they are out of buisness ( 5ers and TTs ) they said there is a aftermarket company that makes them. they called yesterday and said it would be $250 but they dont make it in the correct color go figure.

I have never experienced any blown tire damage....yet. I assume it's only a matter of time with cheap tires.
I would never have thought the estimates would be so high. Does the TT insurance cover this or are we (owners) out of luck since the tire did the damage?

$1 BOB!!! I think the others have overbid! All Price is Right humor aside, it doesnt look that bad considering. I had a blowout with similar looking damage. If I recall it was under one grand between the new tire and repairs to the underbelly and trim work. A lot of elbow grease cleaned up my fiberglass siding. I still have a wheel-well skirt that has a small chunk of plastic missing that I never bothered to fix.

Good move in replacing with the Maxxis. It's been my finding that MOST cosmetic damage repairs when they're limited to just the outside, are not as expensive as one would generally estimate. I think most everyone has "overbid"
