Cross Boeing off the list as many large assemblies and sub assemblies for their 7XX commercial aircraft are made overseas and shipped to Seattle for final assemble.
Companies get by with the "made in the USA" sticker simple because they were final assembled in the USA.

If it fits my budget and it's a quality item I'll buy it. Those are my criteria, not where it's made. Even if it's made elsewhere, it still has to be distributed, transported and sold by American workers. I can guarantee you that if you break down most of the products in the above list that many have piece parts and sub-assemblies that are not American made. And Toyota just opened another plant in the US. Should we not buy the Corolla that's being manufactured there because the company is non-US owned? It's a global economy and some just have to understand that because an item isn't "American made" doesn't mean American's don't benefit.

Fact is, it always has been, and IS, a global economy. We expect other countries to buy our products to keep our economy going and we do the same by purchasing products we need which are made outside our country. There is not a country that could survive without relying on products from other countries. It has been this way for hundreds of years, goes back to the ancient spice trade, and will remain so. So, let's move on, or at least not argue the issue.... please.
btw: we are now making chopsticks for China as they presently are not keeping up with demand within their own country.
The list should really be quite long, since the US still leads the world in manufacturing output. I think what fools a lot of people is that many of the goods you see everyday at Target, Walmart, etc., are made in China and other emerging countries. The fact is that the US has ceded the thin profit margin, labor intensive consumer goods to China and the others where labor is cheap, and retained production of the high tech, high dollar items where economies of scale and manufacturing technology means more output with less labor, making wages less of a factor. In essence, we're buying Levi jeans from China while China is buying Boeing airplanes from us.
Remove BUNN from list unfortunatly. We bought the latest thermal carafe style abou year ago, just now bought daughter regular glass carafe style. Both came from a long ways away.
