Othello, Chess, Checkers, Connect 4, etc... are all good travel games but people hate to play me because I win most of the time.
Cards, Cribbage, Dominoes, and Backgammon are good because they offer some amount of chance which levels the playing field a little.
If you want something a little less ordinary, Go, or Viking Chess are good. There are many variants of Viking Chess and the only places I've found it are Barn's & Noble and specialty stores.

Actually, you can play many Wii games sitting down and they don't require a lot of room. But I think they are more fun standing.
If you are going to look at video game consoles, look at them all.
I really don't care for the Wii because it doesn't output hi-def video. It's downright ugly on big TVs, but on CRT TVs or smaller LCDs it isn't bad. With the hi-def consoles (XBOX360 & PS3), games look amazing on a big TV, and even Netflix or other video apps look better. The 360 and PS3 can even do 3D on 3D TVs. Plus most games don't require motion sensing and work well in confined spaces.
I haven't used the PS3 motion sensing but I think their visual sensor requires a minimum distance of 6 feet.
The XBOX360 with Kinnect normally requires a distance of at least 6 feet between you and the sensor so it's not fit for most RVs out of the box. There is an adapter that fits over the lenses that lets it work at shorter ranges (kinda like giving it glasses) but I don't know how well it works and many/most Kinnect games will require you play them standing because your entire body is the controller. Kinnect also does voice recognition.
Frankly, Kinnect wins hands down among the 3 if you want motion control. I don't know how well it will work in an RV... it might be a bit cramped for the dance games, but you might get away with golf.
Since the release of Kinnect, XBOX has been the top seller and Wii is now a distant 3rd in sales. But then the Wii is the only place to get Mario.

Though I like Xbox360 for my home, I'd vote for a PS3 in the trailer. At least that way you also get a very good BluRay player in the same package.
Another vote for Geocaching. The big plus for geocaching is that it gets you out of your rig and you see places and things that you would have missed and it exercises your body and your mind. Great hobby.
