You're right of course, relaunching a business needs more than just, well, relaunching. Monaco probably has a plan; and that includes using up existing parts and inventory and then interjecting an exciting line-up in coming years. Not everything can be done in one go. They will probably let the high-ends sell what they can sell and then discount and change. If you're in the market for a Dynasty, 2012 is probably not the year. But then again, Mr. Mark, to impress your campground friends they would have to build a 5-slide model (the Mr. Mark grin)
Dian, Robert & Precious (taking a break - see profile)
2000 45' Featherlite 5000, tag, slide, Detroit Series 60
2006 19' Towcorp enclosed trailer w/60" tongue
2004 13' Ultima GTR (9.9 seconds standing quarter mile)

I know some people love the front kitchen but I prefer the back as I like to use the pilot and co-pilot chairs as part of the living room. But, that's why Baskin Robbins has 31 flavors.
The last time I went into 31 flavors...I walked out with 35.....

Regarding the side radiator issue and the Tour, Winnebago actually, at the current time, does not make ANY motorhome with a side radiator to the best of my knowledge.

You do know that Monaco DOES build a five slide unit, The Majestic (I think it's discontinued). The living room slide behind the driver has a slide within a slide.... I think that's overkill myself.... more slide seals and double topper awnings to worry about.

I've noticed that on the Newell web site that ALL of their 2012 Newell coaches have sold...... Hmmmmm, makes me think Monaco better get it's rumpus in gear and make a nice selection of high-end coaches with up-to-date styling!
If you build it, they will come. (sounds familiar doesn't it?) LOL!

That Winnie Tour is overweight before it leaves the factory. Bad idea! I too have had great tech support from Monaco. I just hope we do not lose that after the move. Many companies have gone to a computerized support system. You call. Give them the model # of your item and the problem. A person who is not a tech punches in the data and gives you an answer. Usually wrong. Monaco has some awesome guys on the phone . Many with decades of experience and I often get an instant answer. If we lose them we are scr--ed .

I agree
But Monaco seems focused on support and more midpriced MHs. They may not be perfect, but I do not see a reason to criticize at this point in the turn around/purchase. Give Monaco some time.

As long as they have Taylor Spike running the service/tech support lines, it's an awesome crew on the phones willing to help...everyone knows the meat of what they are doing and that is why I won't dish Monaco that bad...I have the support I need and my own brain and two hands to get me through the rest of it...I also have to say that the suppliers of the components have stepped up to help me when needed..some needed a bit more pushing than others but in the end all was fine.

I can buy 4 nice houses for that....
I think that anyone who can afford that should be taxed higher! :^)
Into Tax the Rich are you? I recommend you watch this video.

Since you have an RV maybe you should be taxed more to compensate for those that do not have an RV!
Great video - puts some of these "out-of-sight" numbers into perspective.

I think Mr.Mark was referring to buying Monaco (the corporation), not buying a Monaco (a single RV)...
This thread is all over the place, but I have to say it's a wild assumption that all RV owners...even luxury DP owners are "rich". Keep in mind, if you take away many motorhome owners' units, they would be homeless. When I use the phrase "tax the rich" I'm talking about the Bill Gates/Donald Trump/Warren Buffett- rich. I have yet to bump into any of the people on the Fortune 500 top-500 list at a campground or RV resort.
