I finally received my letter from ssdi judge and I am approved fully favorable. The judge said that I was credible and had good evidence of my disability and found the states Doctors were not.

I had my own business and loved it but my pain was so bad I just could not deal with it anymore. The worst part is I was working with my son and I dearly miss that. We both have shed some tears over it.

I fell from a building a few years ago and its catching up with me now.
I am on my fourth surgery this year. I am recovering from a cervical revision. It is going to be hard to live on a fixed income.

Congratulations isn't exactly the right word, and I know that. Let's just say that I'm glad to see that you got approved! I've worked with people with disabilities for nearly 20 years, and it amazes me how hard it is for people who have worked hard all their lives to qualify, while so many young people seem to have been somehow 'born' into it. I don't intend to start, or be involved in, a shootout over this...just an observation from a guy has observed a LOT in this area.
Best of luck!

I think the social security people and the lawyers have a pact!! Maybe it keeps everyone busy?? I think it's a shame people have to jump through hoops to get disability, even with their doctors full approval. I am glad you finally were ok'd by the system and sorry you had to (like most others) hire a lawyer.

So often people are out of work with nothing to live on for a number of years before being approved. You almost have to have some kind of nest egg put away for the wait. And then you don't get that much. You still need somthing to supplement it with to survive!

Best of luck to you. My dad went through the same thing and the pains nagged him the rest of his life.

Sorry to hear about your injury. I was also disabled and not able to return to work. Luckily I had enough time in to draw my retirement. I wasn't ready for a fixed income but you will find ways to make it work. I Find it easier to make it on a fixed income than to suffer working in pain. Best of luck to you.

Thanks everyone I was hoping not to get beaten to death. I hoping I can get the trailer out some time in the future. The weather has been crappy here and I am going to wait for a little warmth. Bones hurt to bad with all this chilly rainy weather.

If you can make the trip...I highly recommend Pagosa Springs, Colorado when the weather is better. Specifically the Springs Resort since they have control over the majority of the hot springs. These are natural hot springs...loaded with minerals...and they truly do make you feel wonderful. Plan on a week.

I've been there many times over the years... now when my bones hurt I fantasize about soaking on one of those springs. Staying at The Springs can be pricey...but there are other places to stay and you can buy a "pass" to get in to the springs.
