We got to Celestino today and drove up and down the road trying to figure who is open and what is going on. All four of the listed RV parks appear to be open. There is also another new park called El Senor a couple of lots north of Villa Celeste but we have no idea what is going on there other than they have a very fancy gate. Villa Celeste is open but only one other RV there for the season. A couple of RVs at Tortuga and it appears they built more rooms to rent. Punta San Miguel gate was open and we drove part way in but did not see any other RVers - it is the biggest and they have fixed up the spaces nicely - but their website no longer seems to work so we don't know what is going on. We did not get as far as Celestino RV so do not know what is going on there. We decided to stay at Villa Celeste because the road is very bad and they are closest - now $250 pesos per night - as near as I can figure the exchange rate gets around 13.50 pesos per dollar.

Last year Noe (Villa Celeste) had gone to Canada to work and we were the only ones in there. Big change from 2 years ago when it was full. That incident on the Cuota near there killed their business. I think this year I will use Chris's place and come in from the lower entrance rather than through the village. He is cheaper for just an overnight stop (150 pesos). No more internet now, however.

Some of the regulars at Villa Celeste are supposedly returning this year. I think Noe is still in Canada. Just what that area needs is yet another RV park !!

I tried to enter the south entrance and could not locate it. There is a lot of construction on the highway. Perhaps the construction removed the south entrance?

Noe and Estelle were there but I don't know if they will be there all season. The family was down for the weekend so they partied quite a bit. The road is in bad shape. We always take 78 but did see 75 as we went by and it is there but unmarked - there is a sign that says something like Niebla Rosenda which may be that little village on that road - we know niebla means fog. The one other RVer staying at Villa Celeste said as far as he knew Chris was not at Celestino RV yet and there was almost no one there - but we did not get down there to see. Punta San Miguel has done some nice landscaping around the sites but we did not go in there to look the whole place over either.

Niebla Rosenda
The first word is "Fog", it is also a last name as is "Juan Niebla".
Rosenda is definitly a last name, so yes that may be the name of a village.

"Rosenda Neblas " at KM 75 is the small Village just south of Celestino Gasca at Km 78 . About 30 homes there.. Chris only grades from his park through Km 75. sounds like the other park are not grading there end of the road.

We had some problems getting in the southern way over a month ago, but the road has dried out and has been regraded. It is the best way to get to the RV resorts. South of the Celestino Gasca exit there is another bridge. Just after that bridge there is an SOS station and you exit there to get to Rosenda Niebla. That's heading south. Heading north, you exit just before the bridge and cross over Rt. 15 to get to the coast.

We spent nearly a week parked on one of the side roads of Rosenda Niebla waiting for the road to dry. We met some of the nicest people you would ever want to meet. The little "adventure" in the muddy road was worth the effort.
