7.7 MPG average for 39,000 miles traveling at 58 MPH most of the time on the Interstates or major U.S. & state highways - - 95% of the time towing a car.

I'd say 8 is typical too. But we have gotten better, up to 10, probably driving slower those trips or lighter? We have gotten less too, 7.5 average on a trip to Utah with some really bad headwinds though. We have the 350 not a 450.
I'm glad the purchase worked out well. Post some pics of this new beauty!

We're in the process of purchasing a 2011 Winnebago 31C. What is a banks system?

Over the past 39,120 miles, our Minnie has consumed 4,089 gallons of gas which is an average of 9.57 mpg. This includes highway and local driving, up and down hills and the western mountain roads as well as a couple hundred hours on the generator. I mostly drive 55-60 mph unless the speed limit is lower.

Speed is the enemy of fuel economy due to the horrible aerodynamics of these vehicles.

If my basic engineering knowledge is correct a speed of 70 MPH as opposed to 60 MPH should equate into a 34% drop in MPG (9.57 MPG @ 60 MPH / 1.34 = 7.14 MPG @ 70 MPG). I think it's a function of velocity squared because of frictional loss.

It's cook book engineering.

Banks system is a $3000+ upgrade to your engine and exhaust you really don't need in a class C. And money you will never recoup from any increase in gas mileage they would claim you would get from installing it.

Just over 12 last time we checked but it is only 22 feet 10,000 lbs and has a sloped front end. About 11 if we are burning corn but we try to avoid that.
