To get from Primm to Searchlight, the shortest way is to take the road through Nipton CA, not backtrack through Vegas.
The point was, you're 44 miles from Las Vegas, a major metropolis, with car trouble. You're 42 miles from Searchlight, out in the middle of nowhere, population 576. Which way should I go.......since we haven't heard a peep from the OP, they've either fixed their problem or they're stuck somewhere near nowhere...........Dennis
