Here in the south... USA... it is often said about someones passing that "they are in a better place!"

Well, I want to say... your dog isn't in a better place... I believe the best place for her will always be with you and your family. Now she is in your hearts.

Condolences

Chet and Janet

Unfortunately I have been through this many times and it never gets any easier. Last one we lost was our 14 year old springer spaniel Casey it ripped our hearts out. But if you are a dog person you will move on and get another, not as a replacement but in addition to. We currently have 3 mini daschunds and love them every minute we can but we always remember the one's in the past. Time does heal the wound, and remember it's OK to grieve and remember the one's that have past. Good luck.

I'm sorry for your loss . She was lucky to have found you . That's 8 years of a loving family that you both would never have had . Fill the emptiness in your heart with fond memories , memories you would never have the pleasure to have .

You posted this in the right place , look at all the supportive responses you received from your truck camper family . Everyone here has a kind heart and willing to share their support for a friend and a best friend.

We bought our first RV because we were tired of staying in crummy hotels with the dogs. Because of them a whole new experience has opened up for our family. This is a perfect place for you to share your grievance. We are your friends and we all understand your loss and pain. I hope that the memories of your friend fill your mind until you meet again.

Sorry to hear about your loss. My wife and I are no longer pet people but I can tell you really cared about yours. I don't think anybody can forget a good dog they have had but I hope you remember her and the good times you shared and it warms your heart for a very long time. Best wishes to you and yours. Tom

You have my deepest sympathy for your loss. Their bodies can be taken from us but the memories that have been made during their short stay will remain forever and do help in the grieving process.
My labs are my family and I still think of the five that have gone on to hunt in the great duck blind in the sky. These memories can finally bring a smile to my face as I remember the good times. Some folks do not understand our attachment to our pets but they (the pets) are MUCH better than many of the two legged folks out there! (not that I am prejudiced)

Weymard -
I had just mere seconds earlier posted on my Facebook page how I am missing my dear German Shepherd, Molly, who passed away prematurely in August due to abdominal cancer - only to click over here to see your post.

Words fail but know you have our deepest sympathies in this time of grief.

Weymard I too am sorry for your loss. I get all teary eyed reading post like this. I've been through it several times & have learned that the only thing that helpd me ease the pain is having another dog to fill the void. We have a 9 yr old chocolate lab that is showing his age. So yesterday we brought home an eight week old female so the 9 yr old can hopefully teach here his good habits & not his bad.She is laying by my feet asleep while the other one is laying on the porch because he knows it's time for the wife to be driving in from work.

Take care my TC friend across the big pond.
