So I'm out here filling the wheel bearing that the service guy left the plug out on (yes there was fortunately some left), and trying to figure out where it should be filled to? I think I remember the book that's not here saying fill to the bottom of the center plug????

I'm also thinking about changing the factory oil out to the much thicker Lucas Hub Oil on the remaining hub. I obviously need to drain the old oil out, but how anal should I get? Can I just open the fill hole and drain, or do I need to remove the entire reservoir?

You should fill to just below the plug opening.

Wet hubs have a ring showing "fill to level". It will be just below the opening for the plug.

It does, and the arrow is pointing to 3/4 full which didn't click in memory.

Fleetpride stores carry the Stemco parts for my wheel hub covers.
I replaced the plastic cover and the plug for about $7 on Friday.
siphon the oil out or remove the 6 screws on the ring holding the
plastic cover and the oil will drain out . Refill with Hub Oil.

Thanks!!
The right hub is full, and the left hub might get drained this weekend just so they're the same.

Last question: Anyone had to replace one of the wheel hub cap clips? Is that a NAPA type part?
