My wife is a travel nurse, and the travel nursing company will provide an apartment if you choose to. However, we have 2 dogs and a cat. We heard stories of other travel nurses who had to leave their pets with friends or relatives while on certain assignments because the nursing company just wasn't able to find a pet-friendly apartment for the particular assignment. So, although it wasn't the only factor involved in choosing to buy a motorhome, I would definitely say it was a major one.

They were part of the decision. We had a Micro-mini C long before we had our dogs. When it came time to do some repairs to the Dolphin or upgrade to a larger C for an extended trip, we felt that we could handle the dogs better on the long trip with less problems with a larger unit. It still remains part of the consideration as were ever we go, the girls go as well. I've already told family members that if our girls are not welcome, we won't bother you with a visit.

NO; I wish the 2 yappers next door where smart enough to drive an RV, I would buy them one just to get them on the road to somewhere where they can bark all day away from me.

We decided that if we were going to travel, we would have to do something about the dog. She's pretty needy and doesn't board well. So we figured an RV would be a good answer. And it has been!

We got tired of trying to find a hotel that allowed pets. When we did, they wanted more for our two babies as they did for the wife and myself. We also liked the idea of knowing who slept in the bed before us. We have a class and when I pull it in the drive way and let them out of the house they get very exciteed and run and get in the rv and settle on the couch where they sit when we travel. We used to put them in a kennel but was never happy when we picked them up. Beides my wife always says I tell people we meet that I bought the rv for our two shih tzus and they allow us to come along.

Didn't buy it for the pet, but what we bought took him into consideration, we've never cared much for hotel/motels and the rv seemed to be the way to go.
Our last lab and our current lab think the RV is the best thing since sliced balony.

No. The dogs were a consideration but a small one. As stated by ryanallie1, the dogs adjusted fine, as lo g as their pack is all together.

Yes, we have 2 small dogs and I would rather take them with us than have someone watch them while we are gone. They are adjusting well to traveling with us, as we are new to rving. Thanks for the question it is so much fun to read everyone's answers.
