That won't even run my converter/charger. It pulls 1000 watts for 15 minutes after the batteries have been only slightly discharged.

I thought I had something, but after reading the replies I don't know.

Most of the time there will be lots of other campers around so during the night would be my time of greatest concern. With game tickets going for $1500+ I'm sure there will be people staying at the RV during the game when we are gone. I have relied on a cable through the handle with a lock in the past but that wasn't New Orleans. I guess I'll just get the lay of the land when we arrive and decide the best plan. I carry two of these Hondas in my tool box. I may just leave this one in the box and move the other one in and out of the box. I just get tired of moving it.

One thing that occurs to me:
Won't your rig go three days on propane and battery power for heat, refrigeration, lights etc?
Unless it's all electric you might consider just doing that, maybe using the generator to recharge the batteries if needed and then locking it away again.

Putting a chain around the handle just means they can saw through the soft plastic handle with a hand saw. A bolt cutters works good as does a cordless grinder with a cut-off wheel. Any of these will result in a fast and easy removal in 60 seconds. There are no padlocks that are safe anymore. Best solution is to use it when you are there and put it away when you're not there...Or you could paint it yellow and write "Champion" on the side..

There will be lots of entertaining and tv watching. I have four T-105's but I don't think they will stand up for 3 days and nights.

I've seen those steel caps for the handle but I think that any serious thief will come with a way to cut the cable.

Most anything I can do will only stop the opportunist thief. That's the guy that will grab it if it looks easy.

Ok... granted... maybe jobsite fluorescent green spray paint stripes is just a little too ugly for you. How about just writing your phone number in large numbers several times with a nice, fat permanent Sharpie. You can't stop the thief who wants it but you can make him not want it.

Or cut the bottom out of one of these:

And stick a dummy sewer hose down the hole, and put it over by your rig's sewer outlet.

Hahahaha.... I'd be afraid of a 53 decibel porta-potty!

Ya know... you could combine two ideas. Get one of the cheapie generators that are not nearly as quite and cover it with the porta-potta after spray foaming the inside for sound proofing. The previously mentioned "dummy sewer hose" can be used as the exhaust!

All are good ideas but no one is thinking like a thief. First off what is to stop a person from putting a cinder block under your axel and sticking a knife through the sidewall on your tire? Your honda is gone in the time it takes your tire to go flat.
Also what is all of this talk of cordless grinders, you have a running powerhouse 6" away.
What I do is wrap a cable around it through the handle and padlock it to the camper. Recharge the batteries while I am there and put the honda away when I am gone
