I live about 40 miles from park and would recommend Plains or Andersonville. either is the same distance from Americus. Americus does have a few things that are open on Saturday. There are some remote control airplane groups that fly at Ga Veterans on Saturday, and there are areas that you can fish and you can rent boats from the Marina right across the river from the park.
I was actually going to suggest the group consider the park where the zoo pritch mentioned as a possible weekend location some time. that park has small rv campground, on a small lake, with the usual nature trails, frisbee golf, a BMX course that is free when competitions aren't being held, an awesome playground and a challenging golf course across the road from the entrance.

I saw that and thought the same thing, we should do that at some point. Looks like a nice park.

Sorry we haven’t posted lately, Janice’s aunt pass away and it’s been a little crazy, we will be going to the funeral today and should be at the campsite tomorrow around noon.
We are looking forward to seeing everyone again!!
