Someone PM me on how they did the mod on the Portable Buddy. I know it runs on 11" wc...and it would make sense to install a fitting where the factory installed Mr Heater regulator attaches. I'd just like to know the detail on the fitting that screws into the factory regulator...is it 1/4 MIP, 3/8" MIP, is it a female flair. I am soon to get a portable buddy and want to tap into my spare low pressure line on my camper as others have done.

I thought that was you on AlGores Global Warming video! HA!

KIDDING!

I'm still not sure why you are heating the outdoors

KIDDING!

I know I know, infrared heat on your feet

I have a Buddy Heater and I use it on the back porch in my house in winter. I know there are natural gas shop heaters. I had a 3 mantle when I lived in Utah. In California you can use a non-vented heater as an auxiliary heater indoors as long as you have an approved installed vented heater as a primary unit.

I take my Buddy Heater with me camping. I use the propane "tree" accessory used to feed several propane things off of the 5 gallon tank. Those pint units only last 10 hours, if that! One hose goes to the stove, one to the heater and the lantern sits on top of the tree. Oh you bet I use soap and water to check the fittings lol

Take the regulator off, take it with you to the store...you have the exact thing in your hand that you will need to duplicate with a fitting.
