Before you said the year I thought it sounded like mine! Then you said the year and it could be mine except I am the original owner and it is not for sale! We love ours. It is a 5355 with the V10 and a few upgrade options. The original sticker was $149900! We bought ours as a leftover in May 07 and got a great price. It had a couple of minor things that it went back to the dealer for before National folded. I have had a couple of switches goes bad and the batteries died, probably caused as much by sitting for a year on the dealers lot being abused!
Ask away on questions and hopefully I have the answer or someone else here will.
Oh one thing that broke recently will be our biggest challenge. Forgot to take the glass base out of the micro before leaving campground. Well not only did it exit the micro on a bumpy curvy section of road but it hit the corian top on the stove and broke it before hitting the floor and shattering. The dish will be a pain to replace but the topper will have to be made custom for us!

So you're referring to what I'm calling the heat pump as having possible hard to find repair parts?
Don't know where some of this stuff gets started. Service and parts are readily available for the basement AC unit. In fact, here is a link to the manufacturer's website. Had one since our unit was new in 2006. Love it. http://www.rvcomfort.com/rvp/products/offroof/index.php
