We use to stay at Shangra La RV Resort on Frontage Rd in the Foothills before going to a private lot. They are a middle priced place with a pool, laundry room, and activities. The Foothills is a suburb of Yuma and Shangra La is about 8 or 10 miles from the center of town.
There are some 15 or 20 (or more) parks in the Foothills and probably at least that many right in town, but those in town are older and in some the spaces are very tight.

How do you find the private lots? I've looked online, newspaper, had friend down in yuma drive around, haven't been able to find any? Appreciate any help...
The private lots that I saw had signs in the lots with phone numbers, I think that the owners are screening very closely who there winter neighbors will be. Ride around in the foothills and you will find lots for rent, you will see lots with 1 RV parked and hookup for another one, go and ask the person in the RV if it is for rent.
