We have a 3924 SS Raptor with no garage. Plenty of room for whatever toys we decide to bring. Right now we have 2 2up Can Ams and 3 dirt bikes. I think its 26' to the kitchen counter.

We bought a Fuzion 383 because we wanted to haul our motorcycles but didn't want to lose space to the garage when the bikes weren't being hauled. Also we didn't like the rather spartan appearances and appurtenances of the "standard" toyhaulers. We originally towed the bikes behind our Keystone Big Sky 5er on a Smart Trailer, but once we spotted the 383 we knew that was what we wanted.
With the bikes out we have a large normal 5th wheel, albeit with no rear window. It's a bit taller than we would have preferred but it sure does what we wanted.

We went a step further. My wife said she cleans at home and does not want to clean (as much) in the TH. We have a 12 garage but have a 1/2 bath and fridge and TV that can be accessed from the back so we dont track in dirt to HER bathroom and living area. I guess thats why different floor plans. BTW we haul 2 full size quads and 2 dirtbikes.
Edit. We also pull the stuff out when we get to where we are going but use the 2 queen beds that lower from the ceiling to sleep or use the bottom as seating. and stick the kids out in that they love it. Also with the garage some have a loft so adding a 3rd queen.

I don't think you could ever convince me to give up the garage. We would love to find a 14' garage with a floorplan we like now that we have a RZR in the mix, but all in all I love having the areas separate.
I love being able to stop for a quick overnight, or a quick lunch and not tripping over toys or feeling like I'm eating in a shop.
I love that we can have a place for dirty or muddy to live that doesn't affect our living area. And now that sliding doors and/or glass insert doors are so common I think it really gives a better "flow" that makes it feel a little more open then the older styles like we have.
I also love having a second "zone" if you will. We have sent all the kids to the garage for toy/play/movie/loud time while the adults chat in the living area and vice versa, we've had late night card games in the garage room when the kiddos were all snoozing up front.

We have also went from the open Toyhauler to one with a garage. All previous comments are very valid...obviously both types have their pros and cons. Only you can decide what works best for you and your situation. There are certainly times when I wish I didn't have the garage, then times when I'm so glad that I do. FYI, one huge plus is privacy.

I needed over 18' of storage space. No garage model could accommodate. Not even a 16' garage would have worked for me. Another plus for me is the trailer is only 34' long(37 with pin). At our old house we had exactly the size of my trailer between my neighbors driveway and my driveway to park trailer for loading and unloading. Final reason, I really didn't want to be limited by length in Glamis off season when we go to national parks. Even at 34' my 5ver can't go into a lot of sites.

What I did not like about the Open floor plans was how much living space you loose during travel. I also did not like the fold up couches and tables. You may be able to use the kitchen, bath and front bedroom if you have one but that' it. But when traveling that is where the swivel rockers go.
But that said if it doesn't fit it doesn't fit and you have to do what you have to do.
Work and Play sells Fifth Wheel garage models that go up to 20 feet for the garage. But they are very large trailers and you would need a big truck to pull it. Check out the 38 and 40 FK models.
