My husband wants to sell our Raptor with the garage and get an open bay. He says when the kids move up in bike/quad size there will not be room. Has anyone done this? If so do you regret it? or are you happy with the open bay? I personally love the garage. It sure helps contain the dirt.

Well I guess its all about getting to the dirt?Clean it out later.I like to have the option of more space but that's just my preference.I have seen a few TH that I wouldn't even take to the dirt lol. Doesn't make much sense to me but each to their own.

That's all I've had and have no problem with it. Friends have a 35' Raptor and even with the popout it's much smaller in the living area.

Same opinion giant garage model 10 foot square of living area. We play in the dirt camp in it and love it. Once you unload the toys you will have tons more living area.

The only time I would prefer to have a garage in on trips that are multiple days of traveling. We have to unload to use the bunks for the kids.

Thats the main reason we bought our Fleetwood Gearbox with NO garage. We knew if we bought more/bigger toys the garage would limit how much stuff you can take.
In hindsight, its the best move we made!

Howdy, We have an 05, 3319 Raptor. That said, there is no garage and we have 19' of space to load the toys. No real issues with the dirt, nothing that can't be cleaned up, roll the carpet out, slide the recliners into place and I go from toy hauler to rollin ranch house. Seems to work for us as. Our plans for next year are to load up the toys and start floatin around the country for a few months at a time staying for a few weeks in different locations to ride and see the sights and move on. Can't wait! Regards and be safe!

We did just the opposit. Went from a toy box to the Raptor and will never go back. The rig is 40' long and has a 12' garage so everything fits. We do dog trials and with all DH's racks to hold dog crates and items for the field the 2 seater CanAm ended up 9'5" and there is still room for the two dog crate in the garage and all the other "stuff". I love not having to contend with all the toys in and out of my cooking area and we have plenty of room with the three slides and an island galley. We are in our 70's and just couldn't stand having to sweep up the mess, roll the rug, etc. upon set up and tare down. The box was okay when set up for a few days, but on the move it was a pain in the " ".

Depending on the ATV you can look at tipping the smaller ones up no end so they stand up. We were able to load 2 Polaris Sportsman 500s and 2 Honda Recons, all utility style ATVs in our 12' garage. Part of the reason we went away from the toy hauler was the time it took to load/unload that way, but can work in some situations depending on your ATV.
