We have friends in Yuma and Mesa, also Florida seems slow in those areas also.It will not be good for the locals that work the industry, too bad they suffer first.

Hacienda Contreras was having a very good year. The Punta Perula Hotel and Trailer Park can fit one more small camper. North of Mazatlan is too cold for someone looking for really warm weather.

The wife and I have been slowly making our way south to Cabo. Crossed on Nov 1 and will start heading north on Saturday. NONE of the parks we stayed at in the last 3 months were anywhere close to full. The closest to full we came to was La Paz and they still had another 10 - 15 spaces available out front near the highway. Otherwise we have been usually the only rig in the park for some days. Cabo is still busy but the night life is nothing like it was 6 - 7 years ago. Where did all the party goers go?

At today's price for diesel it would cost me $3,000 just to drive to Mexico around a bit and back. Once I retire and can stay for 4 months it will make more sense again.
The economy and high fuel costs must be a major reason why people are not traveling.

There are more folks like Me , Sold the RV and moved into a Apartment( cheaper than what a lot of RV parks are now charging..( nice place in Mazatlan 2000 peso to 5000 peso per month.. smaller towns even Cheaper) When I want to travel here in Mexico now it is with my small Van. and I fly to the states when the price is right about 400 USD RT to Seattle..

3000 dollars of fuel thats 10 months to 13 months of rent for me.

Teacapan (Villas Onac) was doing well, about 20 rigs. Santa maria del oro is down, we just left there this morning. At Deliahs near Tequila, we are the only rigs there (group of 3)
