Weather in April can be hit or miss. Mild but could be wet. Cannon Beach is a neat little town though. Lots of cool shops. And the RV resort is very nice. As for 101 in Wa. Frankly I wouldn't bother. You're nowhere near the coastline as you are in Or. Good road but not very scenic. I would drive down to Longview and cross the river and go west up the Oregon side to Astoria.

Cannon Beach and Ecola State Park (just north of CB) have some of the most beautiful beaches on the coast. Can't tell you about the shops; we did not spend time in them, too busy on the beach.

We came down 101 starting from Portland, OR headed to Sac then home. We made most of our reservations a head of time. We were only dissapointed at the RV parks in Cresent City. All three in town were dumps. One was way off beaten path for us to get back to 101. We ended up staying at the one that over looks the ocean. Dissapointing everything, run down, but the view was great.

sorry, i gotta ask, you'll also be buying a new tow vehicle also, i hope. your sig shows a 1/2 ton Ford.

to answer your question, we love the SW Oregon coast. Brookings is our favorite and Harris Beach SP is one of the best state campgrounds we've ever been to.
the weather there is outstanding for the Northwest.

Yeah, we're going to order a new F350 next month.

Let me apologize for being missing after asking the question. I stupidly forgot to subscribe...LOL. But many thanks for all the great suggestions, especially the Fish&Chips.
