I purchased a low mileage 29B last week and I have a question about filling the fresh water tank. The 29B has gravity filler on the passenger side of the vehicle. This is great but inconvenient since the “city” water supply in most parks is on the driver’s side. On my last C built by Coachman the fresh water tank could be filled by repositioning two valves in one of the storage compartments. The routine was to connect the water line to the fresh water port, reset the valves, fill the tank to the desired level and then return the valves to the “normal” setting for regular operation. My question is......is there a similar provision for filling the tank on the 29B? (I know I could answer my question if I crawled under the coach and traced the water lines but it’s just too cold outside and I’m just getting too old to crawl under those things anymore!!!!!)

I owned a 2007 Outlook 29B for seven months and you are correct. The only water fill spot in the gravity fill on the passenger side. I had to run a hose underneath the motorhome to fill the water tank.

We have an Access and we have to fill it using the curb side fill site. We haven't really had an issue having it there.

No there is not, but I am trying to figure out the valves and plumbing necessary to divert the city water to the FW tank. Unfortunatly there is not much working room in the compartment under the couch slide.

delaware95,
If you are not aware, all of the wiring, plumbing diagrams, paint codes, etc. for your unit are available on Winnebago's website. I downloaded everything relevant to ours to the laptop.
I have had occasion to need them. The factory got dyslexic with two fuses that were on pigtails that were hard to find near the chassis fuses - a 5 amp and a 15 amp - took awhile to figure out what they had done after one of them blew, but I was able to resolve the issue with the help of the appropriate wiring diagram.

Can not help with changing the system but can give you a good idea how to get a hose or what ever from one side of the MH to the other. ADCO covers company makes a strap with a sewed in weight. we attach a light line. Toss it under to the other side and pull what ever thru. Have had to do it a few times so just carry one of them.

Well, when I take the unit home, I usually park it on the curb side of the street. That is where I do the sanitizing and refilling. Then the water fill is next to the curb. Very seldom do I have to add water at the park. The location makes sense for me. Marvh

The city water supply connects to the house circuits downstream of the pump, with a check valve to prevent back fill through the pump to the fresh water tanks (you have two, gravity feed from upper to lower tank).
You would need to add a circuit around the pump and its check valves, with a valve to close it when you were using the pump. If there is a check valve on the outlet of the lower tank (in addition to those in the pump) you might have to remove that.
I find the curb side location of the gravity fill convenient to the location of the water supply, most places that I fill it. In a RV park with services on the street side, it takes me about five seconds to toss a coiled hose under the vehicle, and go around to retrieve it, to reach the street side.
