Here is a link that might help you.

I can not tell you how up to date it is (being gov. and all) but it will give you some idea.

I am sure that someone more knowledgeable will correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think there has ever been an issue bringing meat into Canada, crossing into the US has always been the problem

I was politely asked/told to discard the meat I had in the MH freezer when we entered back into Washington. It was only one steak, and one avacado, and we complied without hesitation.

They didn't ask about any meat except if it was wild game. You can not bring citrus into the US.

The question is about going into Canada.

You won't having any problems taking meat into Canada.

Why don't you just call Canada Customs and ask them????

Simple, direct information and you don't have to deal with rumors.

I would suggest some of their 24 hour installations, such as Coutts, Alberta; North Portal Saskatchewan; or Boissevain, Manitoba.

I've already found numbers to call, google search and you can too.

I have lost count of how many times we have crossed into Canada. I have never been asked about any food, meat or other. When in Canada we will go to US sometimes and do some shopping. We always tell them if we have any meat, dairy etc....never ever an issue. More than 20 years of visiting Canada with RV.

Taking it into Alaska may be an issue.

We had to discard a bag of fresh peaches one time going into BC but that's all.
