Doesn't seem likely to me, anyway...look at those back wheels!
I can't imagine how on earth it would drive with them spread so far apart...

Thanks for the link.That is awesome even has a brake controller for the back axle. Trial lawyers would be lined up for this now a days.

Found this image on the web. The caption said that it was a "brand new" 1969 CJ-5 with a camper option. The Jeep had rolled down the hill in the Petrified Forest according to the caption. I think the image is authentic, but with the web you never know.

Yup totally stock...in fact I know that Jeep in the picture, a local. It was bought by his grandfather almost brand new and was given to him a couple of years ago. It needed an almost total restore and he sold it.
His grandfather also had a rare Scout 80 factory camper. I bought it from him in early 2003, but lost it to the "Old Fire" that fall. Here is a pic of one.
