Went out to storage unit today.Rear cap was coated w/RMP3 approx 3 mo. ago and today it is peeling off all over the cap.Nowhere else on the coach could I see any peeling.
The end cap is only part exposed to sun and weather, all else is under cover.

Was the rear cap prepped like the rest of the coach?
After 7 mos, I have no problems anywhere even in the Fl sun for 3 mos.

Here in Southern California mine has been sitting in the sun for almost one year. I put 4 coats on it when I coated it. Did you prep it right? I used Bar Keepers Friend but found that I had to follow up with a regular automotive soap wash before I could coat it with RPM3. The Bar Keepers Friend leaves a film behind that you have to remove.

Did mine in August, sitting out in full sunshine and the last couple of months in freezing rain, snow etc. Still looks great, no peeling cracking. Even the vinyl bumpers still shine.
This is the first I've heard of serious problems especially in just three months.
Anything special about your cap - has it been repaired/repainted etc?

I have not done my rig yet but it is peeling all over on my boat - only where it is touched regularly though - the exterior of the boat is still like I put it on yesterday.

I'm glad this topic has come up again. This is next on my list except with ZEP as RMP isn't available except in industrial size anymore at Lowes.
Would someone please post ALL the steps used and materials to make this project successful.
Thanks

I did my whole MH 7-8 months ago and it is subject to intense NM sun. Still shines as good as the day we did it. I only put 4 coats on, and think when I get someplace warm I'll do (at least) the front cap again.

Don't know how you prepped your coach but one question comes to mind - had the back of your coach gotten splattered from an oil or diesel leak? If so, it's possible that there was still residue that kept the RMP from adhering correctly.
