Parks I stay at, everyone is VERY friendly and helpful. I'd ask your neighbors to keep an eye on things.

Do you leave the sewer hose valve open when you camp?
It's a bad practice as you need a moderately full black tank to flush out the solid wastes.

HI..personally we do not leave either valve open... We use the gray to rinse out the SANICON BLACK side..
Dump back, equalize both with gray water... Dump black... equalize both with gray water..and so on...Final dump/rinse w/gray.
Hope this helps.
Have a wonderful day..

I would go beyond just turning off the water...I'd take the hose off, drain and stowe, same for the tank dump hose. Another thing,be sure your pump switches are turned off, ice maker shut off and all faucets off, especially if you have one in the lower water service bay. In addition we retract our entry steps (we do this nightly anyways). If you want the place to look lived in hook up a timer to an AC lamp on the a table in the front and back living areas. We will also leave at least one shade in each living area in the "day" positions so those lights will be visible (if you have total light blocking shades). You can add a radio to one of those timers if you wish. Your vehicle will be gone but that does not mean someone could still be in your coach so do what you are comfortable with.

What I do too.
Another thing that I do but forgot to write in my previous post is that I take an ice cube and put it on the rack or bottom of the freezer to see if there has been a power failure long enough to ruin everything in the fridge/freezer. I leave the fridge on 'Auto' so that it will flip to propane if the ac goes out. A long duration power failure may run the battery down enough to keep the fridge from lighting. Stranger things have happened where power outages have tripped the breaker at the post.

Not a big deal, especially if it is just for a week but..... use this as a remind to water your batteries before you go!
